SICILY. Syracuse. Dionysios I, 405-367 BC. Trias (Bronze, 17 mm, 4.70 g), obverse die signed by Euainetos (?), circa 410-405. ΣΥΡΑ Head of Arethusa to left, her hair bound in sphendone; to right, E. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square; in deeper incuse circle in center, star. CNS II 18 mv 1 corr. (E not noted). HGC 2, 1481. SNG ANS 398. Minor smoothing on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
